What a fantastic day for William and Kate! A flawless wedding for two people who represent such hope for the future as a king and queen! They are so beautiful to look at. Kate is the epitome of style, beauty and grace. William who is absolutely gorgeous, is a reflection of his mother and you can see such kindness in his eyes. I am completely smitten with them.

why taste testing is important
I'm going to get on my soap box for just a moment on the subject of taste testing. This is something that most couples have come to expect from their venue. I have to say, I don't blame them. Believe it or not, there are still venues out there that do not offer any sort of taste testing for their clients at all or they ask the clients to pay to taste the food. Yep, it's true.
The taste testing is very important for brides and grooms in choosing which menu they want for their wedding meal. After all, let's face it, at $40.00 and up per person plus tax, plus grats, plus plus plus - this portion of the wedding often eats up half of the over all budget. It's important. It's also one of the top priorities that couples have when asked what matters to them the most. They want their guests to be well fed!
How can they know they are choosing the right meal for their guests if they aren't given the opportunity to try it, and why should they have to pay to do so? They shouldn't! How can a venue ask their clients who are bringing them potentially tens of thousands of dollars worth of revenue to pay to taste the food or not offer any opportunity for them to try it at all? You get to test drive a car before buying it. Imagine if you had to buy a car without ever being allowed to drive it, or being told you had to pay to do so? Or you had to purchase an outfit without being able to try it on first because that liberty was not granted to you? Mmm hmmm, that's what I thought - you don't like it one bit.
It's part of my job to stand up for my clients and to be their advocate so let it be said that this is my honest to goodness opinion: clients deserve to be given the opportunity to taste the food at their chosen venue before ordering 200 plates of it. So come on, all those venues out there - make sure you are thinking about the brides and grooms who are scraping the bottom of their wallets to pay for all of those meals!
I'll get off my soap box now! ;)

I'm giving in!
I've been quiet, oooh so quiet about the royal wedding. The world is buzzing over every single detail so I decided that I would stay out of it. But I just can't! It's exciting! I can't wait to see Kate's dress, the flowers, her hair! Excuuuuse me for being a girl (one who lives and breathes weddings none the less). WeddingBells.ca did a feature today on Canadian dress designers who designed dresses for Kate's big day!

peaches 'n cream
I go through phases with colours. Depending on the day, any random colour could be a favourite. Right now, it's peaches and creams. I've chosen a few top picks and created an inspiration board. Love these. :)
